HWK Fundraiser to Support Teddy Busateri!

$2500 Raised for 13-year-old tennis to fund travel to national tournaments

In November of this year, Ed and Mitch Granger organized and funded a tennis fundraiser at the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff for the benefit of Teddy Busateri, a 13-year old tennis player from Wisconsin. Teddy is a special kid with exceptional tennis ability who already knows the value of hard work. He earns court time and lessons at his club in Elkhorn, WI by doing volunteer chores at the club and assisting in teaching younger players. He joined 16 strong players at the fundraiser in playing some round robin matches and then, on his own, invited the 9 year old son of one of the donors on to the court to hit some balls making it clear to us that he already "gets" what the HWK Award is all about.

Teddy has a maturity beyond his years and with the $2,500 raised at the event, he will be able to play in regional and national tournaments that would otherwise be out of his family's financial reach.
